Connecting Google, Facebook, Instagram and Apple to a location
Each location in Qrese connects to its own business pages. The Connected Pages section of the Locations page shows every platform with its connection status and lets you connect, sync or disconnect each one.
Before you start
- You need to be an admin/owner of the page you're connecting (the Google Business Profile, Facebook Page, Instagram business account, or Apple Business listing).
- Select the right location first — connections belong to one location.
Connect Google Business Profile
- 1. On the Locations page, find the Google row under Connected Pages and click connect.
- 2. Sign in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile and allow access.
- 3. Back in Qrese, pick the correct business page and confirm.
If something goes wrong you'll see a clear message, for example:
- *"You cancelled the Google sign-in. Try again when you are ready."*
- *"No Google Business Profile was found on that account."* — sign in with the account that actually manages the profile.
- *"That Google account is already linked to another location."* — each Google page can only be linked to one Qrese location.
Connect Facebook
- 1. Click connect on the Facebook row.
- 2. Sign in with Facebook and grant access.
- 3. Choose the Facebook Page that matches this location and confirm.
Connect Instagram
- 1. Click connect on the Instagram row.
- 2. Sign in with your Instagram business account and allow access.
- 3. Confirm the account in Qrese.
If you cancel, you'll see *"You cancelled the Instagram connection."* — nothing is changed.
Connect Apple Business
- 1. Click connect on the Apple row. You'll be sent to Apple to sign in and approve.
- 2. When you return, Qrese shows Apple Business connected, and the Apple Maps Visibility section starts showing your Apple Maps presence.
Syncing and disconnecting
- Sync — pulls the latest listing details from Google or Facebook so Qrese matches what's published. Look for the *"Successfully synced..."* confirmation.
- Disconnect — removes the connection from this location. You'll be asked to confirm (e.g. Disconnect Instagram? *"This removes the Instagram page and its connection from this location. You can connect it again later."*). Disconnecting doesn't delete anything on the platform itself.
Troubleshooting
- "No location selected" — pick a location in the selector before connecting.
- Connection failed mid-way? Just start the connect step again — it's safe to retry.
